The L’Atelier competition sets the stage for approximately 100 young artists each year to promote their work by exhibiting at the Absa Gallery, in Johannesburg, South Africa, and having their work documented in a sought-after catalog.

Selection Criteria:

Initial adjudication is done on electronic submission where you may upload up to seven (7) images of your artwork. Those artists whose entries make it in through to the next round will be contacted directly to arrange for the collection of their artwork. It is essential when registering online and uploading your artwork that all fields are completed. Failure not to complete all fields will result in your entry been disqualified. Please note that all previous entrants will be required to re-register.



Value of Award

 There are four prizes for the 2019 competition: the main prize for the winner of each Group; and the Gerard Sekoto Award for a South African entrant that continues to demonstrate growth in their art production.

First Prize: The Ambassadors from each of the three Groups receive:



  • A one-month residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris
  • A two-month residency in South Africa

  • This prize consists of a return flight ticket to Paris, a three-months stay in the Cité Internationale des Arts, nationwide touring of exhibitions in France, Institut Français d’Afrique du Sud French language lessons. The Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris residencies are made available by SANAVA. The period of Gerard Sekoto Award residency is from April to June 2020.

Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited supports education through several initiatives. One of them is Scholarships.

NLNG has a four-tier scholarship programme which channels support for human capital development and encourage high performance, ultimately growing a pool of high potential students, graduates and professionals with a competitive advantage.



This was founded as a critical component of the education intervention programme for the host communities in 1998 and later opened up to the rest of Nigeria in 2003.

Guidelines for Registration on National Scholarship Portal
Welcome to National Scholarship Portal (NSP)

Fresh Students

Students applying for a scholarship for the first time need to "Register" on the portal as a fresh applicant by providing accurate and authenticated information as printed on their documents in "Student Registration Form."

Before initiating registration process, students are advised to keep their Educational and other documents such as Aadhar number, Enrollment number, Bank passbook etc. in hand.

To help students, a brief description of registration form fields is provided below:


1. State of Domicile - Domicile state means the state in which students have their permanent address. Students are required to provide their domicile state correctly as the "Application Id" allotted to them will be based on domicile state and once allotted it cannot be changed under any circumstances.

This application Id will also be used as "Login Id" on the portal and for future references.

2. Scholarship Category - Scholarship schemes are divided into four major categories. Students need to select the relevant category based on their class/course in which they are studying. These categories are detailed below:

2.1 Pre - Matric Scholarship Scheme - This scholarship scheme is for students studying from Class 1st to Class 10th.

2.2 Post - Matric Scholarship Scheme - This scholarship scheme is for students studying from Class 11th, 12th and above which includes Courses like ITI, B.SC, B. Com., B. Tech, Medical etc.

2.3 Top Class Scholarship Scheme - This scholarship scheme is for students studying in Top Level colleges across India such as IITs and IIMs.

2.4 Merit cum Means (MCM) Scholarship Scheme - This scholarship scheme is for students doing Technical and Professional courses at graduation and post-graduation level.

3. Name of Student - Provide name as printed in educational certificates preferable class 10th certificate for students applying for Post Matric, Top Class and MCM scholarship scheme.

4. Date of Birth (DOB) - Provide date of birth as per their educational certificates preferable class 10th certificate for students applying for Post Matric, Top Class and MCM scholarship scheme.

5. Mobile Number - Provide correct and authenticated mobile number, as all the communications and authentications related to portal activities will be sent on this mobile number.

In the case of Post Matric, Top Class and MCM scholarship scheme one registration must be done with one mobile number.

Whereas, for pre-matric scholarship scheme, where students do not have a mobile number they can provide their parents mobile number, however, parents mobile can only be provided for two scholarship applications irrespective of the number of children.

6. Email Id - Provide correct and authenticated email id, as all the communications and authentications related to portal activities will be sent on their email Id.

7. Identification Details - Select and provide the information in this field very wisely. There are three parameters provided to students for identification such as:

7.1 Aadhar Number - In case of students selects Aadhar number as the identifier, they need to provide their Name and 12-digit Aadhar number as printed on Aadhar card. Students who are having Aadhar number are advised to register with Aadhar number as preference will be given to Aadhar seeded eligible students at the time of scholarship disbursement. This will enable in directly crediting scholarship amount to student Aadhar linked bank account through Aadhar Payment Bridge (ABP) in fast track mode.

7.2 Bank Account - In case students selects Bank account as an identifier, provide Bank branch IFSC code, active bank account number and name of the bank as printed on their bank passbook. Students also need to upload a copy of their bank passbook.

In the case of Post Matric, Top Class and MCM scholarship scheme one registration must be done with one bank account number.

Whereas, for pre-matric scholarship scheme, where students do not have their own bank account number they can provide their parents' account number, however, parents account number can only be provided for two scholarship applications irrespective of the number of children.

In addition, when students use a bank account as identification they need to provide "Aadhaar Enrollment Id" and upload the scan copy of the same. However, when students receive their Aadhar number they should update the same in the portal.

Important Note: 

1. The login id and password to log into NSP portal will be your Application Id and DOB respectively. You are advised to mandatorily change your password at the time of the first login for security purposes.

2. Students are advised to submit only "One Application Form". In case if students submit more than one application form then all the applications submitted by students will be considered as "Duplicate" and will be "Rejected".

3. Students are advised to provide "Annual Family Income" as per the Income Certificate issued by competent authority in their scholarship application.

Maastricht University Holland High Potential Scholarships for International Students

Brief description:


The Maastricht University (UM) Holland-High Potential Scholarship programme offers 24 full scholarships of €29.000 (including tuition fee waiver and monthly stipend) each academic year for highly talented students from outside the European Union (EU) who have been admitted to a Master’s programme at UM.

The Holland High Potential Scholarship consists of a High Potential Scholarship combined with a Holland Scholarship.

To apply for the scholarship, you must first register for one of the participating Master’s Programme (MA) at Maastricht University. Once you have submitted your application via Studielink, you will receive a student ID number which you will need in order to complete and submit the Scholarship Application Form.  You must then fill in the application form, upload the required documents, and submit your application online. The application deadline is 1 February 2019.

In partnership with private donors, the JVS Scholarship Program offers scholarships to qualified Jewish students who primarily reside in  Los Angeles area with need-based financial aid, with the belief that education is the first step to career success.

Since its inception in 1972, JVS has awarded more than 4,900 scholarships totaling over $9.2 million. Current recipients are students pursuing both undergraduate and graduate studies at community colleges, four-year colleges, universities, graduate schools and vocational schools throughout California and across the country.

The Jewish Vocational Service (JVS)  is committed to providing the much needed aid to as many qualified recipients as possible and encourages students to reapply each year to receive help throughout their post-secondary education.



JVS offers need based scholarships to Incoming freshman, Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior and Graduate students who are resident in Los Angeles.

This academic year, JVS would be distributing $694,000 to 220 student in scholarship funds.

This opportunity is for Jewish students, with permanent residency in Los Angeles County.  The scholarship program is open to individuals who are enrolling full-time as an undergraduate or graduate student in Los Angeles.

The intention of the Jewish Vocational Service (JVS) is to provide individuals with the tools, resources and support needed to earn their own living through job training, mentoring, expert career coaching, job placement and retention support people with the ability.

William R. Randall Scholarship
The William R. Randall Scholarship was established in 2008 by the Lorain County JVS Teachers’ Association in memory of retired Superintendent William R. Randall, with the financial support of his family, friends, Lorain County JVS staff and longtime educational associates. Mr. Randall was Superintendent at the Lorain County JVS from 1999 until his retirement in 2007, culminating a 40-year career in adult and high school career technical education.
